Meet Dr. Apea
Dr. Apea is a renowned Consultant Physician in Genito-urinary Medicine with over 20 years of experience dedicated to advancing women’s health and addressing healthcare inequities.
As the Medical Director of The Accra London Health Centre, she leads a patient-centered approach to healthcare, ensuring that everyone receives personalised, compassionate, and equitable care.
Her career spans both London and Accra, where she actively works to bridge healthcare gaps for women in diverse communities. She also serves as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London, where she formerly held the role of Deputy Academic Lead for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, reinforcing her commitment to health equity on a systemic level.
Dr. Apea’s academic journey began at Guys, Kings, and St Thomas’ Medical School in the UK, where she earned her medical degree before specialising in Genito-urinary Medicine. Her passion for global health led her to the Harvard School of Public Health as a Fulbright scholar, where she graduated with a Master of Public Health (Summa Cum Laude). Her expertise and advocacy have been recognised with the prestigious NHS 70 Windrush Award, celebrating her efforts to improve healthcare access for marginalised communities.
Meet Dr. Evans
Dr. Evans Asiedu Sefa is an aesthetic plastic surgery fellow currently undergoing advanced specialty training in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery where he is engaged in advanced training in facial rejuvenation, body contouring, and cosmetic breast surgery.
His fellowship focuses on refining surgical techniques under the mentorship of leading experts in the field, with a commitment to delivering natural and individualized outcomes rooted in evidence-based practice.
Dr. Sefa earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Ghana Medical School, followed by a rigorous residency in general surgery at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH). During residency, he developed a keen interest in complex wound reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, and aesthetic procedures, laying the foundation for a career that merges surgical excellence with artistic sensibility.
In addition to his clinical training, Dr. Sefa holds a Master of Public Health (MPH), which has enhanced his understanding of healthcare systems, surgical outcomes, and the broader social determinants of health. He brings this public health perspective into his surgical practice, advocating for high-quality, equitable, and patient-centered care. He also participates in community outreach and surgical missions, advocating for equitable access to reconstructive care. Dr. Sefa also serves as a part-time lecturer at Family Health University College, where he is actively involved in teaching surgical principles and mentoring future physicians. His academic contributions include research presentations at national and international conferences, with interests spanning aesthetic innovation, surgical education, and global surgery. With a career vision that combines clinical excellence, academic leadership, and public health impact, Dr. Sefa is dedicated to advancing the field of plastic and aesthetic surgery both locally and globally.
