Dr. Apea is a renowned Consultant Physician in Genito-urinary Medicine with over 20 years of experience dedicated to advancing women’s health and addressing healthcare inequities.

As the Medical Director of The Accra London Health Centre, she leads a patient-centered approach to healthcare, ensuring that everyone receives personalised, compassionate, and equitable care.

Her career spans both London and Accra, where she actively works to bridge healthcare gaps for women in diverse communities. She also serves as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London, where she formerly held the role of Deputy Academic Lead for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, reinforcing her commitment to health equity on a systemic level.

Dr. Apea’s academic journey began at Guys, Kings, and St Thomas’ Medical School in the UK, where she earned her medical degree before specialising in Sexual Health and HIV Medicine. Her passion for global health led her to the Harvard School of Public Health as a Fulbright scholar, where she graduated with a Master of Public Health (Summa Cum Laude). Her expertise and advocacy have been recognised with the prestigious NHS 70 Windrush Award, celebrating her efforts to improve healthcare access for marginalised communities.
